The goal of this restyling project was to reinvent the image of one of Barcelona’s most famous Brazilian restaurants. No demolition work was necessary: we adapted to the existing layout to stay within budget.
Our client’s idea was to create an establishment with a cheerful and friendly atmosphere, with a tropical touch. A reference to eat the country’s best street cuisine, with a space to play live music and bring family and friends together.
Without touching the layout but taking advantage of key elements to separate spaces, we focused on the walls, working with decorative wallpaper, reclaimed wood and turquoise ceramics. The back of the bench was made with recycled pine wood, playing with fresh and natural colours. A large part of the project was dedicated to the lighting, choosing large decorative lamps made of natural fibres, with adjustable lighting.
We extended the tropical feel all the way to the bathrooms by covering the ceilings with floral wallpaper.
The result is a cheerful and accessible space with Brazilian references to enjoy with family and friends.
